These releases were done through software emulation as physical devices did not exist to test the operating system. Several public beta versions of the SDK were released. The beta was released on November 5, 2007, while the software development kit (SDK) was released on November 12, 2007. There were at least two internal releases of the software inside Google and the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) before the beta version was released. I'm pretty sure Canon no longer services the lens (it hit the market in 2002 and has been replaced by a Mark II model), so I already know I'll need to find a third-party shop if it comes to that. Is it simply a need to clean the contacts, or, given this happens whenever the lens isn't at full aperture, could it be the aperture is sticky and needs lubrication? If the latter, I'd like to get a sense of what others have paid to correct the problem. Sometimes, wiping off the pins with a cloth lets me get a few more stopped-down photos before the error message returns. I've had this happen to me on both a 1D X body and a 6D the former advises me to clean the electronic contacts, the latter more vaguely to check the body-to-lens interface. ![]() The shutter clicks but I get the error message on the rear screen. I've been getting the "Err 01" message on my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens for a week.ĪFAIK, it seems to happen whenever I stop the lens down, not wide open at 2.8. ![]()
